Originally from Long Island, New York, Coach Elaine Anton Lotruglio is currently the varsity girl’s lacrosse coach at Saratoga Springs High School in upstate New York. Prior to becoming a lacrosse coach, she worked in higher education as a director of admission, senior assistant dean of liberal arts, and an assistant dean for student support services including student-athlete support services.
Coach Lotruglio received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Studies (fine arts) at Hofstra University, where she played four years of NCAA Division I lacrosse. During a study abroad semester she also played one season of lacrosse at the University of London. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration from Columbia University.
Coach Lotruglio has a passion for affecting the lives of young women through kind, skilled and inspired coaching. Through this website and blog at Coaches Matter, she hopes to encourage others to reflect on the impact their coaching has on the young people with whom they work.
Coach Lotruglio lives in Saratoga Springs with her husband and two teenaged sons.
